Cloud File Server | Cloud Storage Gateway | Nasuni

Cloud File Server | Cloud Storage Gateway | Nasuni

The Nasuni Filer is a drop-in replacement for Windows file servers, suitable for use in a medium-enterprise environment with anywhere from several hundred gigabytes of traditional file storage up to dozens of terabytes. The filer integrates well with Active Directory, provides shared resources to users in the traditional CIFS / Windows manner (mapped drivers, UNC names, etc.), and is highly secure at both the file level (with support for NTFS permissions), and at the cloud level with strong AES-256 security and tier one cloud storage providers. With built-in disaster recovery and restore features, the Nasuni filer also eases continuity concerns for primary file storage.

  1. "The most comparable system I can think of is a Netgear ReadyNAS 1100 with its optional ReadyNAS Vault (provided by Elephant Drive). That combination will cost SMB users $3000 (about $90/mo on a lease) plus 55 cents/mo for the backup, but won't be as clean, and when its full, or the lease is up, will need a forklift upgrade."
